The currency is called Guarani and it is one of the most stable currencies of South America. Although it is to doubt that the bank in your home-country is equipped with it, surely it is completely unknown. It is divided in 100 Céntimos and there are notes of 1'000, 5'000, 10'000, 20'000, 50'000 and 100'000 Guaranis. At the present for one US$ you get 4.650 Guaranis. The trade currency is the US Dollar and the daily exchange rate is published in the newspapers and on television. Inland and foreign currencies can be imported and exported without restrictions.
